MvM's Music Bit's! - 11/11/14

Every once in awhile, I may come across a song that I really like, and may feel like sharing. Today is one of those days. :)

Today ushered in the release of a new Queen album. Yes, Queen. Ok though to be fair, the album only has 3 new songs on it, and the rest are remasters. But for any Queen fan like myself, getting to hear something new from the late great master, Freddie Mercury, is a real treat!  This time though, Freddie brought a friend along......

Enter, Michael Jackson.

In the early 1980's, the King Of Pop, collaborated with the biggest rock band of all time, and laid down some tracks. Sadly, they were never completed. Schedule conflicts and such, the two icons of music were never able to finish what they started. "State Of Shock" was later finished with MJ and Mick Jagger, while "There Must Be More To Life Than This" went unfinished and unreleased. Until now that is.

In the years since, we have lost both Freddie and Michael. Tragically. But the remaining members of Queen (ok just Brian and Roger) have resurrected the old demo tapes, and finished the track where MJ and Freddie left off. And the final result is absolutely amazing! To hear these two music giants together is something we've all wanted to hear and now with the release of "Queen - Forever", we finally get that chance.

Seriously, it gives me chills to hear this song. If you don't believe me, then hear for yourself by listening to the below posted YouTube video. Available in stores today, the album is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Enjoy! :)
