Gamer42 #2 - Doing The Ol' Vita Swap

 

Been meaning to write this for a week now, but I have been so busy lately! About a week ago, a friend of mine happened to see that one of my local Walmart stores was clearing out their stock of Vita memory cards. The nice thing about the Vita (while still a pain in the ass), is the ability to have multiple memory cards with different games on each, tied to your one single PSN account. You just have to keep swapping them out. This would not be necessary if I had the funds to import an expensive 64GB card from Japan, but who has the money for that? But what I did have money for, was the 3 remaining 4GB cards on clearance at Walmart for $2 each!

Conversations With Myself: The Past......

The past. Something that is over. Done and buried. Yet sometimes the past can come back and haunt you. The past can be a series of memories that are happy that you'll always cherish, and sometimes the past can be an absolute nightmare. Reminding you of hurt and pain that you suffered. Stuff that you just want to forgot ever happened. If only the plot devices in movies like "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind" were real. Sadly, you can't just have stuff wiped from your mind. You have to face the good and the bad that came from your past. Deal with things, become stronger, and hopefully a better person. Consider it a learning process. Usually, I do ok with this. That is until stuff begins to throw itself in your face, in the most painful ways. Reminding me of the pain put onto me by others in the past.

Just a Scrobblin'......

Back in 2007, I started a Last.FM account (MvM-E), and loved scrobbling my music. Was a lot of fun, and something me and my friend Mandy did together. By 2013, the account had laid dormant for quite sometime, and my music interests had changed a little bit. So I created a brand new Last.FM account (MvM42). I scrobbled for a year, (my last scrobble was " Metallica - Through the Never" on 12/16/14 and was scrobble #4,991) then forgot about the account. Now, I am dusting the account off and getting back to scrobbling my music. It's fun! And also could be a little embarrassing at times lol.

Plus, you can sign up and do it all for free. It's a great way to see what songs and artist's you play the most, how many times, when, and also can see what your friends are listening to!

Pints and Ponders #1, 3/22/16: The End Is Near

One of the many perks of my job (and there are many), is the ability to stop downtown to the pub after a long hard days work, and enjoy what's called a "shifty". Basically, what that means, is a free beer (any choice and any size) after the end of my shift. And I don't know if anyone reading this has been to Bell's beer garden, but it's beautiful! So here I sit outside alone in the sun, enjoying my brew, and I suddenly get the urge to write. Plus let's be honest... "Pints and Ponders"? Yeah, that was too clever to not use, so I'm going to just go with it!
